Any type of odor is embarrassing. Body odor is quite embarrassing and there are many deodorants available, which could help in getting rid of it if not fully then partially. But have you heard about scalp odor ? Yes, scalp odor is less known problem but quite possible that it could catch you too.

The causes of scalp odor could be over production of oil in the scalp via sebaceous glands. This could lead to bacterial or fungus infection. You should always see a dermatologist for this but lets look at some of the homemade remedies for scalp odors:

# Tomato juice, yes tomato juice helps in getting rid of scalp odor. Pour tomato juice on hairs and let it soak and cover scalp. Keep it for 20-25 minutes and wash it with mild water.
# Try not to touch hair often or brush vigorously
# Apply 3 parts of Aloe Vera and 1 part of lemon juice to hairs and let it cover scalp for 10-15 minutes. Wash with mild or baby shampoo.
# Applying astringent on scalp also helps in removing scalp odor.
# Apply vinegar to scalp and leave it for 6-8 hours. You could apply it in night. Wash your hairs with mild shampoo. Prevent vinegar entering your eyes.
